P.S.
I agree with you completely about "the little things" so often being instrumental in:
-- triggering a recognition of this intrinsic, clear seeing Awareness, and...
-- opening us up to a deeper appreciation of what life is really all about.

Thank you so much, Holly, for your prompt feedback and follow-up -- and for your willingness to share your poem! I am grateful for your insight and your generosity, and I apologize for the delay in replying to your kind message.

(I had thought I'd receive notification when you replied to this thread, but I did not -- and I
just now discovered that you had already responded several weeks ago.)

I am definitely looking forward to adding your poem to my web site during the coming weeks, and as soon as I do, I will let you know.

In the meantime, I ask for your patience since there may be a brief delay: I am busy now wrapping up the affairs of my elderly mother who died unexpectedly last month.

With grateful appreciation,
Metta

Hi Metta, Thank you for the comment and I am glad you like the poem. :) I am often inspired by my 5 year old son. At times, which I remember clearly, I have had those moments of awareness that just snap me out of my daily routine and open my eyes to what life is really about. Even if it is something seemingly so minor - the little things can really be instrumental in bringing about awareness. So, to answer your question, YES you can definitely use this on your site. I think that is a great idea. :) Thank you Metta. Hope to keep in touch.

Holly,

This poem is a magnificent articulation of the power of awareness that lies within each of us! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful reflection on the awareness that abides within the poignant beauty and impermanence in our lives.

Also, if you are willing, I would love to add this poem (along with a link back to this page) as a "Reader Reflection" on one of my own web sites: http://www.awakening.net/Reflections.html#Reader

Please let me know if this would be acceptable to you.

Thanks,
Metta

Hi Alan!!! I am SO sorry for not replying to this comment sooner. I have been offline for a while due to some health issues. I am amazed that you have worked with gorillas and chimps for 18+ years. I am in awe of that - as it is still a bit of a dream for me. That time when I was younger and had those experiences - just never left my thoughts and I still consider that such an incredible experience. I really admire Dian Fossey as well. When your book is published, please let me know. I am very interested in reading it. :) Feel free to write anytime - my email is hollybethmann (at) gmail (dot) com ...take care Alan!

Good video...thanks for sharing. You know...one of my biggest flaws as a "professional" anything is my fear of making the wrong decisions and screwing things up. My boss knows this about me and once told me, "If you're never failing, you're never learning. I don't want you never to make mistakes, I just want you to learn from them."

Hi Holly
I have just (two days ago) purchased your Honest Riches and having recently been retrenched for the second (consecutive time) am looking forward to learning about and becoming successful marketing online.

Of interest, I read about your experiences with the bonobos. I worked with gorillas and common chimps (not bonobos) for some 18 years. I have written about my experiences, including knowing the late Dian Fossey and having been attacked by an adult gorilla male. The book (my second) is to be published in June / July this year and I will be happy to send you a complimentary copy.

My wife to be, Odette and I are working through your book together and aim to set up our website soon (Odette is far more computer savy than I am).

Thanks for writing such a helpful work.

Regards
Alan Jardine
