I live in Northern lower Michigan, which is a good 4 hours from Detroit, but it is the only Sunday paper Michigan has to offer. My local store told me that isn't them or the rep that delivers them removing the inserts. So I'd like to know, where are they going? The only reason I buy the paper is for the coupons. I would call the paper up if possible - they will let you know what the deal is. They have some areas that they feel deserve no inserts - maybe the area is away from major stores. I went to Kroger early this morning to buy some papers (I only wanted four!), but thankfully I looked through them before I went to the checkout. They had at least 50 papers there, but every single one I looked through (probably about 15?) had only the tiny target store insert, when there were supposed to be SIX inserts today: 1 RedPlum, 1 General Mills, the Target Johnson and Johnson, 2 SmartSource, and a Walmart. Where are they?? Then the Speedway gas station near me started keeping Sunday papers behind the counter to stop people stealing papers and coupon inserts. But still there are no inserts in the paper. I am trying to save some money so it is super annoying to be losing money when I only buy certain papers or extra copies in order to save money! I am glad to see that I am not alone in this. Unfortunately for me when this happened to me with the Chicago tribune - the Customer Service person acted like they were going to correct it and send me out the coupons. But, they never did. In the city where I live now, if this happens (it's a smaller city) they have corrected it (for my sister-in-law). I have spoken with delivery people and guys who actually sell the paper and they let me know that certain areas, certain cities and even counties - they decide to not put any coupons on that area (maybe the area doesn't have a lot of stores, etc.). So I wake up bright and early this morning to head out to 7-11 and decided to buy 12 newspapers! It cost me almost 20 bucks!! I get home anxious and excited to get my inserts and I'm flipping through and through only to find out that there were NONE!! Wtf?????! So I call up the newspaper distibutor and I get the voicemail!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!! I'm freakn out rite now because the only flippn reason I buy the Sunday paper is to get my coupons and to be robbed like that just annoys me soooooooooo much!! Unlike pepole who steal the newspaper from other people and machines, I actually pay good american money just to get ripped off!! I either want my full refund including tax or MY COUPONS!! I'm soooooo serious! Btw, its the Oakland tribune!!! Uuuuuuuuuuuuugh!! Can this day get any worse?? I’m sooooooooooo mad I could cry!!
