Today was my second time shopping at Hilander/Kroger. I LOVE it! My total before coupons was $62.19 and AFTER coupons the total paid was: $20.07 including tax! I saved 69%!!! * Please note: the total which I paid included many more items which are not shown in this photo. The items were milk, bread, cat litter and other items which I needed. I will tell you how I got almost all of these items in the picture for almost FREE!

First of all – Happy Monday! I hope everyone picked up at least a couple newspapers from yesterday as the papers contained 4 full coupon inserts! We haven’t had a paper with that many coupons in a long time! There are a lot of high value coupons as well. As of this week – or as of today – there are a few “Steals & Deals” to be aware of! Whatever you do, don’t throw out your coupons. Deals change all the time and it might be a month before a massive deal comes out on a product you love, and you may need the coupons from yesterday’s paper for it. So, save them in a folder or manila envelope with the date on it! For this post, I am trying to stick with only deals that work with yesterday’s coupons – for those who are new to couponing. I will post later about all the other current deals going on!

This is a little money-saving tip from my personal experiences with cable/satellite tv service providers. I’ve moved many times and tried out many different well-known companies for tv. I now have only local channels and do not pay for cable tv but can still watch all the best shows whenever I want to.

First – get rid of your cable! Americans spend an average of at least $900 a year on cable tv. There are several options to help you save money and watch all the shows you want.
